Joseph Magnano, painter of Vibrant Cows. Born 1977.

I have been painting cows since 2014.

This focus furthers each time I go hang-out with cows. Painting cows has been an offer by nature to activate and utilize the greatness within establishing a deeper connection with basic goodness.

I put the cow in a figurative composition making them the focal. Each painting is its own to solve, a project to build. All mark making is purposeful, giving life to the canvas. Layering, washes, color mixing, and brush stroke to emulate shadow shapes...the finished painting then becomes a meditative viewing experience of its own, suitable for the totem that is the cow.
